What is walter a. elwell?

Walter A. Elwell is an American theologian and professor of biblical and theological studies. He has written and edited numerous books on Christianity and theology, including the Baker Encyclopedia of the Bible, Evangelical Dictionary of Theology, Handbook of Evangelical Theology, and A User's Guide to Bible Translations. Elwell has taught at a number of institutions, including Wheaton College, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Cedarville University. He has also served as the editor-in-chief of Christianity Today and as president of the Evangelical Theological Society. Elwell is considered to be a leading scholar in the evangelical theological community.
